山頂部のやや黒く見える部分が地殻最下部の層状ガブロ，やや白っぽい部分を経て下の斜面はダナイトおよびハルツバーガイトが露出している．夕方に見るとコントラストが美しく見えるため，5 o'clock Mohoと呼ばれている． |
